We make small, private apps for families.

Snowbreak is an independent app studio in Boston. We build apps for the small, everyday moments of family life: a good deed worth celebrating, a bedtime story worth keeping, a new word in a second language.

Each app does one job and does it well, so you can learn it in a minute and keep using it for years. We'd rather ship one thing that works beautifully than ten that almost do.

Our family apps carry no ads or trackers. Where an app can work on your device alone, it does.

Grown-ups decide

We write for parents. Purchases and settings sit behind a grown-up check, and we never push purchases at kids.

Nothing held hostage

If a subscription ends, what your family already made stays yours.
