About
Keep the little voice, not the dark room.
Some of the stories you most want to remember happen after the lights go out. Your little one starts talking about their day, a dream, a question, or something unexpectedly funny. Video would only capture a dark room, and writing it down would lose the sound of their voice.
Mimuji is a private voice diary for parents. Tap once and keep the moment in your child's own voice. There is no feed to manage and no complicated setup. Mimuji adds the date and time for you, and afterward you can add a title, a short note, a child profile, or a photo. Come back to the Memory Book to hear those voices again, organized by day.
Mimuji is in beta now and coming soon to iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS 16 or later).
Features
One tap to record
Tap the big record button and Mimuji starts listening, with a live timer and a little sound squiggle. The date and time are added for you.
Start from the Lock Screen
A Lock Screen or Home Screen widget, the Action button, or "Hey Siri, record with Mimuji" opens the app already recording.
Add the little details
After each recording, add a title, a note, and a photo, Live Photo, or short video from your camera or your photos.
A Memory Book
Every memory is grouped by date. Play it back, search, edit, share, or delete it whenever you like.
Room for every child
Add a profile for each child, pick who is talking before you record, and filter the Memory Book by child.
Locked and backed up
Lock Mimuji with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, and export a complete backup to Files whenever you choose.
Privacy
Mimuji keeps your family's memories on your device. Recordings, titles, notes, timestamps, child profile names, and photos stay in Mimuji's own storage on your iPhone or iPad, and we never receive them.
There is no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no AI service, and no server run by us. Mimuji asks for the microphone only when you choose to record, and for the camera only when you choose to take a photo. Nothing leaves your device unless you share a recording or export a backup, and then it goes only where you send it.
