Hear Me Grow Privacy Policy

Hear Me Grow is a private voice diary designed for parents and guardians. Hear Me Grow does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, AI services, or developer-operated servers.

Information stored by Hear Me Grow

Recordings, titles, notes, timestamps, optional child profile names, and optional photos are stored locally in Hear Me Grow's app storage on the user's device. The developer does not receive or collect this content.

Device permissions

Hear Me Grow asks for microphone access only when a parent chooses to record. The system Photos picker lets a parent choose an optional image without giving Hear Me Grow general access to the photo library. Camera access is requested only when a parent chooses Take a Photo, and the captured image is saved locally with that memory. If the parent enables the app lock, authentication is handled by iOS using Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode; Hear Me Grow does not receive or store biometric data.

Exporting and sharing

Parents can choose to share an individual recording or export a complete backup. The parent chooses the destination through the iOS share sheet or Files picker, which may include On My iPhone, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or another installed file provider. Exported information is controlled by the parent and is subject to the privacy practices of the destination they choose.

Data collection and sale

The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or use personal information from Hear Me Grow. The current app does not contain third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Children

Hear Me Grow is intended to be operated by parents and guardians, not by children on their own. Because the app has no account or developer-operated service, the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting information

Parents can delete memories within Hear Me Grow. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device. Copies that a parent exported must be deleted separately from the destination they selected.
